Donor Profile: Wildlife Habitat Canada

The Nature Trust is honoured to be in partnership with Wildlife Habitat Canada (WHC).

Since 1985, WHC has supported a number of Nature Trust land stewardship projects over the years, including a major contribution to our recent coastal conservation acquisition at Long Cove.

WHC is a national non-profit conservation organization that has dedicated over 52 million dollars to the conservation, restoration and enhancement of wildlife habitat. WHC works through partnerships with communities, landowners, governments, non-government organizations, and industry to conserve, enhance and restore wildlife habitat across Canada. Through a unique partnership with Environment Canada, WHC receives revenues and royalties from the sale of the Canadian Wildlife Habitat Conservation Stamp and Print. The vast majority of Conservation Stamps are purchased by waterfowl hunters to validate their federal Migratory Game Bird Hunting Permits. In total, the purchase of Conservation Stamps and Prints has directly contributed over 32 million dollars to hundreds of habitat stewardship and conservation projects across the country.
